  2. It is true that "More Slower Blues" is not a listed track, but there is an indication that it may have been retitled as "I Don't Wanna Lose, Lose You". We will find out at some point I hope.

  3. Could be... But Billy said on Gibson.com on 07.28.2011:
Not every song will be as as radio-friendly as “Flyin’ High”, insists Billy. “More Slower Blues” is “simply one chord, that never stops.”

And "I Don't Wanna Lose, Lose You" is described in the press release as a song with: "that has a real garage rock feel"!!??
Could that be the same song/s???
And when "Future Blues" is not on the CD, which is the second/only song with Dusty´s lead vocals???

  6. "Future Blues" was already played on the European leg of the XXX-tour and didn't made it to Mescalero. Probably they keep it as a rare only-live-played track.

  7. I always thought of "Made into a Movie" as a ballad, too.

  8. Some news about a bonus track in Japan???

@ Squally, ZZ didn´t make the XXX Tour in Europe, because of Dusty´s illnes. They cancelled all dates.

They played "Future Blues" the first time in Europe 2002 and they made the recordings of that song for "La Futura" - not erlier.

  9. I am just making a hopeful guess about a bonus track in Japan. RCA used to add an extra track for the Japanese release because it was cheaper for people there to buy an import, thus the extra track made it more attractive to the Japanese market. I have no idea if Universal Republic will do this, but as we know there are some additional tracks that could be released somewhere, somehow.

  10. They've been playing Future Blues for a long time, first time was the early 90's or maybe even earlier.

They are not going to put that many covers in an album. They have at least two already and that cuts into the publishing.

  11. Earliest version I have of "Future Blues" is Sept 1990. It was however not played regularly in the set list until 2002.
When I comment on a music video for "Gosta" I am not referring to the Jeremiah Weed video, but rather a complete and independent music video with the band only. That is the rumor anyway.

  12. They played only one (known) time "Catfish Blues" in the beginning of the "Recyvler Tour" in Vancouver. Then they skipped that song! Future Blues was played first time on tour in 2002. Check the boots!!!;-) The recording sessions were during the "La Futura" sessions!!!

Some news about "La Futura"??? Video, Bonus Track/s
    Regardzz!!!

  13. I think Flyin' High is Gibbons/Hanks not Gibbons/ Hambridge. On Paid only the original three songwriters (plus BFG of course) are getting songwriting credits according to ASCAP, but I know BMI has Hardy and Moon listed as well. Not sure why the other songs haven't shown up yet. Still wonder if all of those other unheard but published songs from the last 10-15 years are sitting on a tape or hard drive somehwere.

  14. @Xavier: Catfish Blues was played on the Mescalero tour and in 2009 as well (and possibly on other tours). As for Future Blues, I've got a live recording of it from the Recycler tour in 1990, so they've definitely played it before 2002.

Anyways, it's a little disappointing to hear Future Blues didn't make the cut. I also think Rock Me Baby would have been a good cover to include. Regardless, still exciting to have a new album from ZZ Top!
